A hard truth is still a truth.
This collection of essays, written over many years for The Power Company Climbing blog, will shine a light on those qualities that limit us the most. The qualities that are hard to measure but simple to manage. Simple that is, when backed with intention. These essays are written about real climbers in real situations. Maybe you know some of them. Maybe it’s you.
Save yourself a couple bucks on tools to care for your skin, by bundling our best-selling Finger File (pair) and Climber Clippers set together!
You’ll get:
Finger File (pair)
1 medium grit sander
1 fine grit sander
Climber Clippers
1 nail clipper
1 detail skin clipper
Clippers available in chrome or black finishes.
Our Finger File was designed and shaped with a climber’s hands in mind - specifically built to make skin maintenance easier.
It’s lightweight and ergonomic in design, handcrafted in solid wood and features a long lasting grit sanding surface. The wide flat area allows for easy sanding of bigger callouses. The smaller edges make quick work of pad callouses and can even get into the smallest of creases, where those annoying splits like to hide. The smooth wood on the interior means those tips not being worked on don’t have to deal with any painful accidental sanding.
Medium Grit is suggested for drier skin and most maintenance. Fine Grit is suggested for wetter skin and fine tuning.
Pair includes 1 Medium Grit + 1 Fine Grit.
Save yourself a couple bucks and get everything you need to care for your fingers, inside and out, by bundling our best-selling Finger Care Kit and a 5 Roll Pack of Circuit Tape together.

Keep your nails trimmed and your flappers at bay with our Climber Clippers! Each set comes conveniently packaged in a small tin and contains:
1 nail clipper
1 skin detail clipper
Clippers available in chrome or black finishes.
Designed with skin preservation in mind, Circuit Tape is a breathable, cohesive tape that sticks to itself rather than you, so it works perfectly for chalky, sweaty sessions and won’t leave your skin soft and damp. Comes in a 2 roll pack and a 5 roll pack.
Stays put on chalky, sweaty hands. Perspiration does not reduce the cohesive bond.
Pre-tape to save skin, and it’s breathable so it won’t soften your tips.
Each roll is precut to 1/2” wide and contains 10 yds of tape.
Perfect size for carrying on route.
Comes in a reusable container to keep it clean.
Healthy fingers are priority #1 if you want to climb your best.
Combining several tools that are must haves for finger and forearm care, the Finger Care Kit is packaged so that you can take it with you on your roadtrips, to the gym, or on weekend climbing trips.
You get:
One Myofascial Release Ball. Smaller than a lacrosse ball to allow you to dig into your forearms and palms better. Roughly the size of a golf ball. It just plain feels great.
Two Finger Extensor Trainers. These now come in two different resistance levels.
Two Finger Acupressure Rings. Because let’s face it, you’ll either lose one or want one in your car.
Two Finger Sized Voodoo Floss Bands. Latex free.
Power Company Logo Linen Bag

Tired of even the smallest of footholds not being quite bad enough, Kris teamed up with our friends at Escape Climbing to create his own line of holds that will really put your footwork to the test. Designed to force more focus on both angle of pressure and amount of pressure, the Resistors are demanding and texture-less, meaning you’ll definitely have to step up your game.
The Resistors are designed for use on kickboards, slabs, and vertical walls. On walls beyond vertical they will be incredibly difficult to use unless mounted on a volume - where a few of the set could even be used as slippery handholds and thumb catches.
Available in Red (as shown) or Black, the set includes 8 pieces. Additional colors available for purchase directly from Escape Climbing.
INSTALLATION/SAFETY NOTE: The Diodes do not include any hardware. (Hex bit shown in photos for scale only.) Using general construction screws, drywall screws, or any non-structural screw can be dangerous when installing climbing holds. #9 screws have a structural rating (#8 GRK do not) and are the only screws we recommend for installing climbing holds. Safely installing holds is important with precious hands pulling on these plastic grips.
Tired of even the smallest of footholds not being quite bad enough, Kris teamed up with our friends at Escape Climbing to create his own line of holds that will really put your footwork to the test. Designed to help build precision and trust in toeing down on the smallest of edges, the Diodes are tiny and texture-less, meaning you’ll definitely have to step up your game.
While this set was initially created for kickboards and 30 degree and under walls, a few of the holds are good enough to use on a 45 – assuming that you’re good enough to use them there.
Available in Red (as shown) or Black, the set includes 12 pieces. Additional colors available for purchase directly from Escape Climbing.

Frustrated at the lack of foot options to prepare climbers for the precision of many outdoor climbs, Kris teamed up with our friends at Escape Climbing to create his own line of holds that will really put your footwork to the test.
This set of feet, designed for 40˚ to 55˚ walls, are shaped specifically to force useful foot positions and precision that we don't often encounter indoors. Sets designed for less steep and beyond 60˚ available; see other products.
Additional colors available for purchase directly from Escape Climbing.
